ADSL (Asynchronous Digital Subscriber Line) is a high speed, best effort, semi-permanent internet connection. On normal shaped ADSL the bandwidth or speed gets throttled so as to give priority to certain kinds of programs that you use while connected to the Internet. It mainly caters for web browsing and email usage. It gives lower priority to programs, such as peer-to-peer download programs, ftp programs, etc.

Unshaped ADSL is good for online gamers, stock traders and people that need to share files overseas, since it allows for higher transfer speeds than shaped ADSL. Business ADSL includes Static IP and high usage accounts aimed more for services from the small office home office. We offer Telkom line rental service and packages that will include line rental and a base data service.

• An analog phone line that's been upgraded to ADSL (Check your line).
• An ADSL router or modem obtained from your local computer dealer or directly from Adept.
• A pots filter/splitter will be required if you share the line with a fax, burglar alarm or voice.

• Enterprise Dynamic DNS Service - Adept manages your dynamic DNS to make this a high available service.
• Concurrent connections - Adept allows concurrent connections but suggest separate connections per ADSL line for management, reporting and safety against capping from malicious traffic that will cripple all the sites.
• Line Lock / Restrict your username to your telephone line.
• Usage Cap Reporting Options to one or more email accounts include (Once a Week,
  Twice a Week, Daily, 50% 75% 90% 95% of cap, 75% 90% 95% of cap, 90% 95% of cap
  or 95% of cap).
