Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Managed Services Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our Western Cape team. This role focuses on identifying and securing new business opportunities and leveraging them to introduce and sell our managed services portfolio. The ideal candidate will have strong business acumen, a proven track record in managed services sales, and the ability to drive revenue growth by recognising and capitalising on new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and engage with potential clients to sell managed services solutions and expand the customer base.
- Recognise opportunities to upsell or cross-sell managed services within the existing connectivity base.
- Consistently meet and exceed revenue and growth targets.
- Develop strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders to foster long-term partnerships.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities in the connectivity and managed services space.
- Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions that align with their business objectives.
- Work closely with technical teams to ensure seamless implementation of sold services.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in managed services or IT solutions sales.
- Strong ability to identify business opportunities and develop strategic sales approaches.
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Understanding of managed services (cloud, security, IT support) and connectivity solutions (FTTX, SD-WAN, MPLS, etc.).
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Qualifications
- Grade 12 Certificate.
- Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) will be advantageous.
- Microsoft Sales Professional Certifications.
- Understanding of Networks and Topologies.
- Firewall licencing certification will be advantageous.
